Five Years, One Natural Next Step: Beth’s Journey to Practice Manager
This year marks five years since Beth joined CK Dental as a Dental Nurse, and we’re delighted to share some exciting news: Beth has been promoted to Practice Manager.
It’s a role that reflects not just how far she’s come, but how integral she has become to the way our practice runs and cares for patients.
A Message from Sheryl, Business Director
“When we began thinking about who should lead CK Dental into its next chapter, Beth was the natural choice.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow from an exceptional member of our clinical team into someone who is now integral to how our practice operates. She has earned the trust and respect of both our patients and colleagues through her professionalism, compassion, and commitment to doing things well.
What has impressed me most is that Beth doesn’t just keep the practice running smoothly, she’s always looking for ways to make it better. Whether that’s improving the patient experience, supporting the team, or finding more efficient ways of working, she approaches every challenge with enthusiasm, integrity, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
As we continue to grow, we wanted a Practice Manager who shares our values and our vision for the future of CK Dental. Beth embodies both, and I couldn’t be more pleased to see her step into this role.”
In Conversation with Beth
We spoke to Beth about her journey so far, and what’s next.
Is there a moment from the last five years you’re especially proud of?
I’d probably say seeing how much I’ve grown over the last five years. I started as a dental nurse and have gradually taken on more responsibilities, so it’s nice to look back and see how far I’ve come. I also really enjoy helping nervous patients feel more comfortable, and it’s always rewarding when they leave feeling much more relaxed than when they arrived.
What’s kept you at CK Dental this long?
Definitely the team. Everyone genuinely wants the best for our patients and for each other, and it’s a really supportive place to work. I’ve also been given lots of opportunities to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities, which has kept the job interesting and helped me develop.
What does it mean to you to be stepping into Practice Manager?
It’s a role I’m really grateful to have been given. I’ve learned so much during my time at CK Dental, so it’s exciting to take the next step. I’m looking forward to supporting the team, helping the practice continue to grow, and making sure our patients have the best experience possible.
How would you describe the shift from Head Nurse to Practice Manager, day to day?
The biggest difference is that I’m now involved in much more of what happens behind the scenes. As Head Nurse, my focus was mainly on the clinical side of things, whereas now I’m looking at the bigger picture, supporting the team, improving how the practice runs, and making sure everything works smoothly for both patients and staff.
Is there anything you’re especially looking forward to bringing to the role?
I’m looking forward to building on everything that’s already been achieved and continuing to improve wherever we can. Whether that’s making things easier for patients, supporting the team, or finding better ways of working, I just want to help keep CK Dental moving in the right direction.
Please join us in congratulating Beth on this well-deserved promotion. If you’d like to book an appointment with the CK Dental team, call us on 0117 472 1600.
