CONTOURING AND VOLUMISING WITH DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers can address a wide range of ageing concerns or create a subtle enhancement by adding volume. They can be used to transform thin lips, sculpt the chin and jawline, or refresh the face by smoothing and filling fine lines and wrinkles.

At CK Dental, we only use gold-standard brands that produce predictable, effective results and have a strong safety record. Our fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid gel, a naturally occurring component in the dermis that safely breaks down over time. Dermal fillers can address a wide range of concerns, and injecting at key points on the face can produce a non-surgical or liquid facelift.

Lip fillers

Lip augmentation with dermal fillers is one of its most popular uses. Many men and women are dissatisfied with their naturally thinner lips and desire a fuller shape, but the lips also thin with age. We use a product specifically formulated to enhance this delicate area

Chin & jawline fillers

A weak chin or undefined jawline can significantly impact self-confidence, and using dermal fillers to create a defined and sculpted chin and jawline is increasingly popular. Chin fillers can address a short or recessive chin and create balance with the other facial features. Men often want a strong, wider chin, whereas women want a feminine appearance. Jawline fillers are suitable for anyone who wants to improve the definition of the jaw or has seen sagging due to age or weight gain.

Cheek fillers

Volume loss in the mid-face is a common cause of facial ageing. This is due to the shrinking and descent of the fat pads and loss of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for fullness and structure. Rounded, youthful cheeks become flattened, and dermal fillers are injected into the mid-face to plump up the cheeks. This restores a youthful structure to the face and can improve nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

Wrinkle & lines fillers

Dermal fillers are a highly effective way to fill the face’s static lines, known as the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. The nasolabial or smile lines run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth, and the marionette lines are located just below the corners of the mouth. Adding volume to the mid-face lifts the lower third and can improve the appearance of these deep lines, which is often combined with tiny amounts of filler injected directly into the lines.

Dermal Filler Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll see an instantly visible result. However, it can take a few weeks for the filler to fully integrate into the tissue, and then you’ll see the final result.

Our dermal filler products contain an anaesthetic known as lidocaine, making it a very well-tolerated and comfortable treatment. We can also use a local anaesthetic cream to numb the area before your treatment.

Dermal filler treatments are safe if performed by an experienced and qualified practitioner. If required, it is possible to reverse a dermal filler treatment using an injection of hyaluronidase.

There is minimal downtime after a dermal filler treatment. There will be some redness and swelling at the injection points, which will quickly subside. You can resume normal daily activities immediately, although we advise avoiding excessive alcohol, exercise, heat treatments, or sun exposure for the first 24 hours.

This depends on the area that has been treated, but you can expect results to last between six and 18 months before you require a maintenance treatment.

Why choose a dentist for your facial aesthetic treatment?

Facial aesthetic treatments have become incredibly popular in recent years, but lack of regulation in the industry means that they are often offered by individuals who do not have the necessary training and experience to ensure a safe and satisfactory outcome.

We would always advise you seek a suitably qualified medical professional to carry out your facial aesthetic treatment as it is essential that not only can your practitioner deliver the aesthetic outcome you want to achieve, but also to avoid and manage any unwanted complications.

Dental professionals have a unique position in the facial aesthetics industry, and there are several reasons why they are best qualified to carry out these procedures.

Dentists possess a deep understanding of facial anatomy and the tissues of the face, including the muscles, bones, and nerves.

A dentist will have trained for a minimum of five years, gaining artistry, clinical dexterity, and core anatomical knowledge.

A dentist will likely have performed thousands of pain-free injections throughout their career.

You can be assured of a high level of patient care in a safe, clinical environment.

You can also expect a high level of discretion as nobody will question your reasons for visiting your dentist.
