Our summer diets can often wreak havoc on our teeth and gums. And it is not easy to keep your teeth healthy on a diet that includes the odd ice cream, fizzy drinks, picnics, and BBQs.

You will have to be careful here as low sugar doesn’t always mean the drinks are better for you. They can often be acidic, which can be equally as bad for the teeth. Always read the label before investing in a low sugar alternative.

If you suffer with sensitive teeth, a summer diet can cause the symptoms to worsen. If you don’t already, invest in a toothpaste specifically designed for sensitive teeth. This will help to relieve your symptoms when required. However, if you have constant tooth sensitivity, it is a good idea to consult with your dentist.
